Chess Unlimited's tournaments match unlimited fun with chess advancement. Put your skills up against students from all areas of our program in exciting tournament play.
Chess Unlimited provides several competitive tournament events during each seasonal session. This includes a weekly tournament beginning on week 3, culminating with a large tournament at the end of each semester where students can compete to win various prizes including scholarships.
In-person tournaments are sanctioned by the USCF and players will compete in sections according to their rating. USCF membership is required and you can join here for a scholastic rate of $20. Tournament entry fees vary.
Online tournaments - Unrated/Unsanctioned. Play is based on the player ratings during the class session. Game/15 (each player recieves 15 minutes for play - totaly game play of 30 minutes). There are 4 Rounds beginning at 9am, 9:45am, 10:30am and 11:15am with results and awards posted by 2pm.
All tournaments are Game/15 (each player receives 15 minutes for play) and have 4 Rounds. Players are sorted into one of the following 3 Sections for competitive play: (K-2, K-6 & K-12).
