ABOUT

Chess Unlimited is chess education at its best! Operated as an Academic Enrichment Program (AEP), our students accrue a variety of skills through the game of chess that have been proven to translate into success beyond the classroom.

Our program is designed to make chess a fun experience that will also develop skills in critical thinking, problem solving and awareness. Social skills are also tuned through the program as students grow self-confidence and hone their abilities through classes and competitive tournaments. As a student progresses they will begin to assimilate these new skills into their life, such as the ability to predict and foresee the consequences of actions and to keep composure in stressful situations.

As life long enthusiasts of chess, our executives have taught the game for over a decade. In 2011 Chess Unlimited was created in an effort to grow the game and bestow the benefits that come from learning and understanding the game's principles.

At Chess Unlimited we're passionate about teaching kids all that the game of chess has to offer and it's because of our experience that we can provide chess education in the most effective and exciting way possible. Be sure to check around the site to read more about our company and our programs, as well as upcoming events. If you still have questions or would like further information, please don't hesitate to Contact Us.

Child Safety

The safety of our students is an absolute priority and is our number one policy in teaching our programs. Each of our instructors must pass federal background checks and is required to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card before they can be considered to teach with Chess Unlimited.

Our instructors are trained to follow company and district child safety procedures. Regular attendance is taken to ensure students arrive safely to the club and our instructors wait with the students after class until each child has been picked up.

Though chess is played as an individual, our classes are built around the concept of a chess team. Every student has a place and belongs in the program where they will learn, play and grow as a team. We take sportsmanship very seriously and use the game as a catalyst to help children develop this important trait.

In our program our instructors are trained to spot the signs of bullying and act promptly on signs of such. Chess Unlimited has a zero tolerance policy on bullying -  students that commit acts of bullying will be removed from the program. If you would like more information regarding our safety policies please Contact Us.

Our Staff

One of the biggest advantages to our program is our staff.  Our instructors are scouted from child development programs at local universities and colleges; individuals on the career path to become educators who are passionate about teaching and skilled in the game of chess.

Each of our instructors are registered with the United States Chess Federation and are rated to ensure that their knowledge exceeds the level in which they teach. In addition, they are audited through the semester to ensure our students are enjoying a fun and engaging learning experience.

To learn more about the instructor for your class, be sure to look out for the Coach Profile that will be sent home at the start of each program, or Contact Us to have a digital copy sent to you.
